Screw wash presses are ideal for wastewater treatment and screening of sludge. They are used for dewatering, compacting and conveying of screenings or other moist to wet waste materials.
A sturdy steel construction ensures a robust and low maintenance use. The screw wash press also brings the required performance at full load, it works faster than a conventional screw presses.
Function:
Waste materials from a screening unit, screw conveyor or conveyor belt are dropped into the filling hopper. The worm screw conveys, dewaters and compacts the waste material.
The water escaping from the compacted material is released to the flume. With the help of the built-in washing device, fecal matter is subjected to a wash-board friction operation, loosened and washed out. Hair, fibers etc. which could cause operating failures and build-ups remains in the screenings.
Service water can be used as wash water.
